We recently stayed at The Richardson for our wedding weekend and booked the Central Suite, along with a room block for our family. It was the perfect place to host our guests, especially for a Halloween wedding. The suite itself was also the ideal size for getting ready the morning of. We had seven women, a hair and makeup team of two, our photographer, and various family members popping in and out to grab food and drop things off throughout the morning. At one point there were thirteen people in the suite, and it still felt comfortable and spacious. Every staff member we interacted with was wonderful, and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. We would definitely recommend staying here!

These 5 stars belong first most to Jessica at the front desk and the rest of her team. They are amazing, and will make your stay here the best. I always say, reception sets the standards for any organization- and Jessica and her team truly represent that. Jessica was very sweet and helped me and my mom get a room. There was also a kind porter who made us laugh and smile. The hotel itself is very nice, spacious, and relaxing. Everything was neat and clean. No complaints. If you're passing through, or need a place to stay, the Richardson Hotel is the place to be. I'm also an admirer of architecture, and the gothic style plus modern uplift really makes this place one of a kind.

Jessica at the front desk went above and beyond for us during a stressful time when our basement had flooded. She upgraded our stay without hesitation and later surprised us with warm cookies and brownies. We did not plan on being in a hotel during a work week, but her kindness made everything feel so much easier. Truly outstanding service.

I had a great stay at this beautiful hotel. It’s not in the most convenient location depending on what you are doing in Buffalo, but it’s still a great option. Historic building/property. Spacious rooms with high ceilings. Friendly staff. Food on site. Free parking.

Such a wonderful and unique experience staying at the Richardson. The first floor has a museum dedicated to its rich history as a former mental institution. The ball room upstairs looked like it would be a great space for a large event. Rooms were comfortable and modern. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Bar was beautiful. GO BILLS!
